It is a geological formation that started millions of years ago, the impressive Rainbow Mountain has different colors that resembles to a rainbow thanks to its mineral wealth. This natural wonder is located at 5,200 m.a.s.l., in the Andes range; located south of Cusco, district of Cusipata, province of Quispicanchis, department of Cusco, next to the highest mountain in the region (Ausangate 6,384 meters / 20,944 feet). The Rainbow Mountain is one of the famous alternatives of 01 day hike. It is recommended to the nature lovers and those who wish to explore part of the Andes of Cusco. The tour starts and ends in the city of Cusco (from 4:30 am - 6:00 pm). You will have a pleasant, guaranteed and personalized trip with us.

TOUR SUMMARY
Day 1: Rainbow Mountain Hike. From 4:30 am - 6:00 pm

DETAILED TOUR:

We will pick you up from your hotel between 4:45am to 5:00am and drive to the south through the town of Urcos and then to Cusipata District then to Pitumarca where we’ll have breakfast. After the breakfast, we will continue by car through small villages until we arrive to the community of Hanchipata - Quesiuno, the starting point of the hike, we will see incredible mountains such as Ausangate(6,380 m.a.s.l. or 19,140 ft. a.s.l), beautiful blue lagoons and many other natural sites. The hike to Vinicunca (Rainbow Mountain) will last approximately 3 hours. On the top of this peak we will enjoy the view of the beautiful scenery before descending. We will return to Pitumarca to have lunch then we’ll return to Cusco and arrive around 6pm.

It is as follows:
